Community
We currently undertake several community focussed projects, with a focus on working with local schools, farmer learning and wider community events.
Farmer learning
We also hold catchment group and farmer learning and field days, these are typically tailored to fit in with something that is affecting farmers in an area. You can find out about past and upcoming events here.
Wider community
We also hold regular community well-being events including an annual Great Otago South Ice Cream Tour where we take Mr Whippy to all our catchment group areas. We have also held a coffee and donuts tour.
We also bring specialist speakers to the District, check in at our Events page to find out more.
Stakeholders
We work alongside stakeholders to collaborate on environmental projects in our area. Stakeholder groups include iwi, Beef + Lamb NZ, DairyNZ, Otago Regional Council, Fish and Game among others.
Working with Schools
Local Schools
Local schools visit our local farms and waterways to get a hands-on experience learning about what is in our waterways and what we can do to look after them.
Urban Schools
Schools from Dunedin head south to our host farms in Clutha District where the students meet our farmers and animals and learn about our stream health and what we are doing to look after them.
