The Tokomairiro Catchment Group covers 39,765 hectares and covers both the East and West branches of the Tokomairiro River, from the top of the catchment to the sea at Toko Mouth.
Catchment highlights
The Tokomairiro River is known for it's large brown trout population. In some of the catchment's tributaries we have some special native fish living, such as the Taieri Flathead Galaxias.
